Your monthly commitment will enable the delivery of critical conservation and research programs, such as monitoring feral animal incursions and assessing the condition and changes in our forests, estuaries and coastal environments. These programs need to be continuous to be effective and informative, so our funding also needs to continuous.By becoming a monthly donor, you’ll join the Otway Perennials, a community of dedicated supporters who provide the enduring strength we need to safeguard the Otways. Just as the forest relies on its perennial growth to weather every season, Otway Perennials play an essential role in conservation. You allow us to keep our work going during gaps in funding cycles and pauses in government interest, enabling our team to head out every day to study and protect these magnificent ecosystems.These CEC programs, where we work in partnership with Traditional Owners, allow rapid responses to emerging threats and ensure that landscape management is informed by rigorous science and Traditional ecological knowledge - this includes emergency planning and responses to the increasing threat of intense fire episodes, marine heatwaves, drought, floods, and human pressures. Like all donations to the CEC over $2, monthly gifts are tax deductible. And they are processed automatically, reducing our administration time and ensuring that maximum funding is available to support our work in the field. The need for effective science-based landscape management and conservation action has never been more urgent in the Otways.
