Toni Stevens

Director, Communication & Engagement

Toni Stevens is Director, Communication & Engagement for the Conservation Ecology Centre and our social enterprise, Wildlife Wonders.

She works closely with our founder and CEO on strategy and leads how we share our work protecting the Otways' wildlife and landscapes. That includes all of our communication and engagement, from media, social media, digital marketing and fundraising through to community events and workshops across the region. She helped develop Wildlife Wonders' brand, visitor storytelling and launch plan ahead of its opening in 2021.

Toni has lived and worked in the Otways for more than a decade and volunteers with Landcare. Previously, she managed online media for the Ecological Society of Australia and spent six years as Chief of Staff at Science in Public. There she promoted the Prime Minister's Prizes for Science and coordinated Fresh Science, a program for early-career researchers.

She holds degrees in Journalism and Environmental Science from the University of Canberra, where her honours research focused on the endangered Grassland Earless Dragon.
