Bailey Raats
Conservation Project Officer
Bailey is an ecologist with a strong interest in threatened species management and recovery. He undertook an internship with the Conservation Ecology Centre in 2025, and returned to the team the following year as a Conservation Project Officer. He is also a Wildlife Guide at Wildlife Wonders.
During his Bachelor of Environmental Science (Honours) at Deakin University, Bailey researched the complex social and spatial structures of a colony of Brush-tailed Rock-wallabies in northern Victoria. He has also volunteered with a variety of organisations including; Mt Rothwell, Wildlife Victoria, Halls Gap Zoo, and Australian Wildlife Conservancy. Bailey has also volunteered internationally in South Africa, working on population management of the African Big Five, revegetation, and pest management.
