Ted Wiedemeyer
Intern
Ted aspires to be a steward for Australia’s rich and unique ecosystems. Having researched the vulnerability of alpine ash eucalyptus regeneration to climate and fire regime changes during a Master of Geography, he has developed an interest in using spatial technologies to tackle landscape-scale challenges.
Ted feels privileged to be applying this interest throughout the Otways on Gadubanud country, while sharpening his on-ground skills, learning to identify a bandicoot from a potoroo, navigate through cool-temperate rainforest and keep a hilux in good working order.
Having long been a region of curiosity for Ted, he is thrilled to be deepening his connection to the Otways through caring for its land.
Outside of work, he is also enjoying getting to know the area by cycling its many winding back roads and trying all manner of local bush tucker.
