Bailey is an aspiring ecologist, with a strong interest in threatened species management and recovery, and keen to pursue a career within this field.
Recently completing a Bachelor of Environmental Science (Honours) at Deakin University, Bailey researched the complex social and spatial structures of a colony of Brush-tailed Rock-wallabies in northern Victoria. He has also volunteered with a variety of organisations including; Mt Rothwell, Wildlife Victoria, Halls Gap Zoo, and Australian Wildlife Conservancy. Bailey has also volunteered internationally in South Africa, working on population management of the African Big Five, revegetation, and pest management.
Bailey is looking forward to learning more about pest management in the Otways, as well as learning about the unique flora and fauna that inhabit the Otway Ranges bioregion. He is excited to gain practical experience within the field of wildlife conservation and ecology, as well as make a positive contribution towards conservation.
