Our Work
The Conservation Ecology Centre was founded to create a secure and natural future for Australia’s precious wildlife. Our mission is to inspire confidence in the future through effective, innovative and engaging approaches to conserving wildlife and the ecosystems on which they depend.
The CEC reconnects and re-engages people with the natural world. Increasing understanding through vital research, restoring wild places and caring for wildlife, we invite and encourage the community to join us.
We believe that caring for the environment is not an overwhelming task, it is second nature. By actioning this vital aspect of humanity we can achieve a world where respect for the environment is part of our everyday lives, integrated into every decision we make.
Our future depends on our generation’s ability to take a thoughtful and integrated approach to advancement and conservation – this is an incredibly exciting prospect. Working together, we have a chance to create a world where our children – and their children – can celebrate the future.
